Occasionally, a tooth must be removed—it can happen for a variety of reasons:
For Orthodontics: Patients who see an orthodontist and have an orthodontic treatment plan may require a tooth (or teeth) to be extracted.
For discomfort associated with wisdom teeth: It's not uncommon for wisdom teeth (third molars) to be removed due to discomfort. However, in some advanced cases, Dr. Rubinkan must refer patients to an Oral Surgeon for wisdom teeth extraction because the procedure can exceed the resources of our office.

A "clear" alternative to braces is the Clear Correct orthodontic system which uses transparent aligners to gradually straighten your teeth.
When a patient is missing most or all of their teeth, a removable prosthetic appliance called a denture is made to replace the them. Partial dentures can replace large areas of missing teeth, and full dentures can replace a full set of teeth.
