When a patient has a cavity, Dr. Rubinkan removes the decay and puts a filling in the tooth. A composite filing uses tooth-colored material that is aesthetic and mercury-free. Composite fillings are also used for cosmetic improvements by changing the color or shape of your teeth.
MicroPrep Air Abrasion
Air Abrasion is a gentler alternative to the dental drill that uses micro abrasive particles to remove small cavities. With MicroPrep Air Abrasion there is no need for dental anesthetic.
A bonding light adheres the composite filling to the tooth.

Crowns are put on teeth for a variety of reasons.
If an old filling is failing, or the tooth is cracked or broken, a crown replaces most of the tooth and strengthen the chewing surface to prevent further cracking or breakage. The crown acts as a protective "cap".
Crowns can also cover a tooth after it has had root canal therapy, or they can fit on top of an implant abutment.
When a patient has a missing tooth (or teeth), a bridge can cover the space with a series of attached crowns. The teeth on either side of the space are crowned, and they act as the support for the "bridge" over the missing tooth (or teeth).
Bridges can be set in place permanently ("fixed"), or they can be removable.
